Description

Ascend North Texas is excited to launch a special, curated program to help develop high-potential, early professionals to prepare for senior leadership opportunities.  This leadership development program (LDP) is the first of its kind in Ascend and the North Texas Chapter is thrilled to partner with our local corporate sponsors to kick off this inaugural class. This program is designed to develop mid-level managers to “lead with purpose” and grow within their organizations.  We believe that by investing in the development of these leaders, it strengthens the individual, their organization, and the entire community.

The Leading with Purpose Series is a five-session program which offers a unique opportunity for leaders to connect with fellow leaders from other organizations to “group-learn and group-think”. LDPs are a cornerstone for building strong successful organizations.  By sharing their ideas with a cohort with similar professional experiences, challenges, and accomplishments, this program will stretch their sense of community and camaraderie amongst participants.  This sense of belonging translates into several key benefits:

  • Peer to Peer-Learning: Participants learn not just from instructors but also from each other.  They share real-world challenges, offering valuable insights and diverse perspectives.  This collaborative exchange allows them to test ideas in a safe space, gaining constructive feedback and honing their leadership approach.

  • Building a Support Network: Leadership can be a lonely journey. A cohort program creates a strong support network of peers facing challenges. This fosters trust and vulnerability, allowing participants to share experiences and support one another through setbacks and triumphs.

  • Accountability and Motivation: working alongside a committed group fosters accountability.  Participants are more likely to stay engaged and complete program requirements due to the encouragement and support from their peers.  This shared commitment fuels overall motivation and keeps participants on track with their leadership development goals.

Additionally, each participant will be assigned a coaching cohort who will provide guidance and support in creating their personal brand.  We understand that in today’s competitive business landscape, personal branding has become a crucial aspect of professional success.
